Women Who Bike – The December 2011 Brunch!

This month’s brunch took us to Wicker Park to sample the comfort food of The Southern. While it wasn’t sunny out, it wasn’t nearly as cold as it was at last year’s December brunch. Can you believe we’ve been keeping this going for a little over a year? Kudos ladies! Thank you Dottie!

There was some serious comfort food on the menu and it seemed like we had a little of everything on the menu ( I tried the cheese grits by the way, and they were quite tasty).

We ate good food and talked about things like the Chicago Streets for Cycling Plan 2020,  good bike gear, and if were going to ride over to the Holiday Renegade Craft Fair together after brunch.

Martha really likes her new helmet and April has been wearing this raincoat right through the fall and really loves it. We also admired the awesome bike-friendly outfit that Holly wore to the brunch – courtesy of her own lucitebox.com – great vintage gear site by the way.

As always at one of these brunches, we headed outside to talk bikes, take more pictures for various and sundry blogs, and to basically keep talking more as we figured out who was riding where next.

We did head over to the Holiday Renegade Handmade craft fair, but that’s another post. As always, it was a great time ladies and I’m looking forward to the January brunch which will be on the 2nd Sunday of the month instead of the 1st. Come join us!
