So you missed the Chicago Bike Swap, did you? Well, never fear – I’m hear with a rundown of all that you missed.  It was in a new location this year,  at the UIC Physical Education building,  which left a lot of room for the display of the bikes on sale, as well as things like bike polo, and the Cargo Bike Rodeo. GiddyUP!

Bike Polo at the Bike Swap

Bike Polo!

I didn’t get any photos of the Racketeers (bummer) but  above is your Chicago Bike Polo photo for the day!  And here is a Dutch bike photo-op.

A big part of the bike swap is all the bikes that are for sale. Some from bike shops and other retailers,  but many from individuals selling restored or otherwise fixed-up-and-ready-to-sell bikes.

And there were bike shops, and frame- builders galore!

SAGA Cycles was there - a handmade biycle frame vendor from the Chicago area.

So those are most of the bikes I saw at the Bike Swap.  Mr. Ding, Little Ding, and I, had a great time!   Part 2 of my series on the Bike Swap will be about all the gear I saw ( read, “cool bike bags”).   And I’m working on a short video wrap-up of the days events.  Check back for more!
