Riding Through Chicago Neighborhoods & A Modern Halloween House

We’ve had such beautiful fall weather here in Chicago that it’s been an absolute pleasure to ride around the city on errands. ¬†Between the leaves on the trees turning and changing colors, and the seasonal decorations that some people out out around their homes in some neighborhoods, ¬†it makes me feel like I’m riding through some some photo shoot for Dwell , Midwest Home, or even Architectural Digest. Ha! Besides the West Loop area in Chicago, I often end up riding through Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, and the Lakeview neighborhoods. One spectacularly beautiful morning last week I took these pictures as Oma and I rode our way through the city.

First we rode by a favorite house.. a corner building renovated and updated into what must be a rather large single family home in Wicker Park. It’s got it’s vintage bones and some modern touches and they obviously love being seasonal – what’s not to love?

And then I managed to get a picture of this house – I think their minimalist take on Halloween decorations are perfect for their house.
