Bike Parking Fridays

Every Friday or so,  I write about the bike parking I find at local businesses in Chicago – the good and the bad. I’ve written about big box stores as well as local small businesses , including neighborhood bars and restaurants.

If you are a local business, there is no reason for you not to have sufficient bike parking for your patrons. The Chicago Municipal code requires that almost all businesses have secure parking for at least two bikes. In addition, The Chicago Department of Transportation’s Bicycle Program installs and maintains bike racks in Chicago and provides free consulting services to building owners, as part of the Bike 2015 Plan.
