Chicago Women Who Bike – The July Picnic Brunch!

A picnic with bikes..

A picnic with bikes..

Last Sunday I rode up north to the North shore Channel Trail - a lovely 8-mile long paved bike path that runs from Lawrence and Francisco in Chicago north to Green Bay Road in Evanston to attend a summer picnic with a group of Chicago bike riding women.

We had a bountiful supply of tasty breakfasty treats, fresh summer fruits, and some fruity liquid libations.

I rode up on Oma and got to put my picnic basket to good use!

It was a beautiful day for a picnic, although a bit warm and humid.  We somehow managed to have a good time anyway.

You can check out Dottie’s gorgeous pictures over on the post she published on her blog. And I highly recommend stopping by Ash’s tumblr blog as well - she’s been spotting some great bikes lately!

There will be another brunch in August, the 2nd Sunday to be exact.  Stay tuned to this blog, Dottie’s blog, or check out our group on thechainklink.org for more details!
