If it’s the second Saturday of the month it must be a Kidical Mass day!  This past Saturday we rode our bikes up to Palmer Square (in the Logan Square neighborhood) to meet up with everyone before the ride.

It’s always easy to find the Kidical Mass kids – they’re the ones wearing bike helmets!

We had the usual assortment of cargo bikes and kids bikes, and it’s always interesting to see the winter rigs some families have.  Check these out!

This Yuba Mundo got a custom kid-carrier rack made of multi-colored pvc pipe. A little warm on this day – but a great toasty hang-out.

This Xtracycle was sporting a Hooptie – the 3-kid-sized accessory for some longtail cargo bikes. Both these families like these types of accessories for hauling toddlers too little to reliably hold on to stoker bars.

The kids just seem to think they’re fun.

And we finally made our way out to ride!

Nice! I used to live on Palmer Sq and would sometimes see this ride. So nice to see kids and families out on their bikes!
