Bike Bags, Bike Bags & More Cool Bike Bags

A snapshot of some of the bikes on my bike bag board on Pintest!

I saw a lot of bike bags recently at the Chicago Bike Swap, which you can read about in the follow-up post that I wrote.  I started doing a little research, especially since I’m looking around for a new spring-ish bike bag/purse to tote around on my Dutch bike, and the easiest way to keep track of everything was of course, via Pinterest.  So, check out my board of bike bags and panniers on Pinterest! I’m interested in bags that are useful for more urban pursuits than just touring – and bags or panniers that look nice off the bike are a bonus!  Send me links to any bags you can recommend for my board or, if you’re on Pinterest, let me know your email address and I’ll add you to the board so you can add them yourself!

great page Samantha. I have the Linus sac though, and the hooks don’t quite fit on the Oma rack, so you need to bend them a bit. So I love the bag, but it is not very secure.

Thanks for the info, though I’m sad to hear that the Linus sac doesn’t fit so well on our Omafiets.

I really like my Linus tote for short trips / work. http://shop.linusbike.com/products/the-sac

Thanks for the tip! I just added a couple of Linus bags to the board. Do you have that pannier called ‘the sac’? I really like that one!

I bought the Linus Sac last week. Here it is on my bike. I’m surprised to read that it does not fit on an Oma rack. My rack is a Dutch rack, probably the same style as seen on omafietsen. It is also very secure on my bike. I’ve no problems taking it on and off. Indeed perfect for short trips and work.

P.S. Inside the Linus Sac was this curious message.

        !!! Now that is…. interesting…

Hmm… that’s interesting! I wonder if the rack on the Gazelles and those on the WorkCycles Omafiets are the same? I know the ones on the Workcycles are really thick – too thick for many panniers. Love that photo of your bike by the way!

I posted this overhead shot of the rack for you. As you can see, you can slide the bag to fit on the rack. I have no heel strike problems. LOL and don’t mind the soccer slippers!
