A September Chicago Critical Lass Ride!

Chicago has had it’s own Critical Lass Group for about a year or so and finally,  I was able to make the ride this month!  It’s a social bike ride with a new route each month that generally ends at a bar or restaurant.

Critical Lass is an inwclusive ride for women/trans cyclists of all ages/skill set created to facilitate camaraderie, increase visibility and encourage both novice and seasoned riders to get on their bikes. We will maintain a leisurely pace and will go no faster than our slowest rider so, whether you are 18 or 80, please join us!!

Last week we all met up at a park in Lakeview before we headed north to the Chicago Brauhaus in Lincoln Square – a classic German restaurant in classic Chicago neigbhorhood that maintains some of it’s German heritage.

A little pre-ride socializing

I took a few photos of the variety of bikes and panniers on this ride since I know everyone is always wondering what bikes women in different cities ride for transportation, along with a few photos of our destination.  Click on any of the images below to pop open the full-sized photo gallery carousel.
